SHIFT: Full time No Weekends 

Compensation: Salary range from $36.96 (2-4 yrs), $38.33 (5-6 yrs), $39.72 (7-8 yrs.), $41.11 (9-10 yrs.) $45.22 (over 10 yrs.)

Requirements

  • Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures, coordinates and supervises the daily planning and implementation of the surgery schedule.  
  • All activities, both intra and inter departmentally, associated with the efficient and effective management of the daily surgery schedule are coordinated through the Board Supervisor.  
  • Collaborates and is in constant communication with supervisors, physician offices, pre-admission unit and other hospital departments.  
  • Additional responsibilities include preparing the OR monthly staff schedule.  The Board Supervisor has OR staff direct report responsibilities.  Participates in rotation of supervisor weekend and holiday call. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION: 

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required)        
  • Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. (preferred) 
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers with American Heart Association 
  • Required upon hire (for certifications only:  upon hire is defined as within 2 business days of start date) 

 
 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of two years specialized nursing experience applicable to the unit. (required) 
  • Previous supervisory experience. 
  • Surgery scheduling experience. 

 
 

Additional Information 

  • Surgical Services consists of 19 suites.  

  • This team-oriented unit consists of Surgical Scheduling and Pre-surgical Testing, Surgical Outpatient (preoperative and postoperative), Post Anesthetic Recovery Units, Day Surgery and Endoscopy.  

  • All types of surgical procedures, including Open Hearts, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Robotic, and Minimally Invasive procedures are performed.  

  • The unit performs approximately 850 cases per month.   

  • MUST HAVE BOTH LEADERSHIP AND OR EXPERIENCE IN AN ACUTE CARE FACILITY
